If you are on an SSRI jens and you start having stomach problems (ie diaherra) its the medication they have you on. Had what I thought was Irritable Bowel Syndrome for 4 years, was on disability, couldn't work. Than I woke up one morning and found the answer to all my problems, it wasn't my diet or diet soda that was causing the problems it was the medication they had me on! Went to the doctor dozens of times and not once brought up the medication as possibly the cause of my problems, even though I was otherwise completely healthy. Dont take that shit jens its really bad for you. You wont realize what the side effects are until you get off the shit.
Jens,
Looks like you've got the jeep lookin great. I wanted to wish you good luck with the training. I love watchin you fight and broadcast. You've always been been a class act. You've touched more people's lives than you'll ever know. Thanks for being you. Can't wait to see that left hand put someone on their ass! Later Champ.
Jens:
I met you the other day in Walmart of all places and I wanted to say it was a real pleasure. I have followed your career a bit and you're an inspiration. It was nice to have my boys along to meet you as well. I told them later a little about the obstacles you have faced and overcome in your life to get where you are. I've met several competitors in MMA and bodybuilding over they years and it's always nice to meet someone you admire who is so personable and takes the time to say hello. You said you'll be opening up a new gym soon and competing in February. I'll be looking forward to both.
War Jens!

Hey Jens I just met you outside of the hospital in San Antonio. I would like to say that you were very nice and professional. I apologize if I was rude and interupted your conversation with your teamates. I just got star struck for a few seconds. In any case I wish you well on your coaching and fighting in the near future.
Jens I just met you outside the San Antonio hospital today and I have to say I appreciate the time you took to talk to me as a fan. I wish you the best of luck as a coach and a fighter.
I was the Soldier that stopped to talk to you out front of the hospital in San Antonio. Jens your a professional and I wish you well in your career as a coach or a fighter and I apologize if interupted you and your teamates and thank you for taking the time to talk to a fan.
It was great meeting you & your family at Aaron's in Boise! Can't wait to see you guys at the upcoming fights...Jeff N' Kath
Hey Jens,
Wrestling on the living room floor with my 5 year old son tonight. When he was three, I was watching UFC and he saw "Little Evil". Ever since, he is "little evil" and I am "big evil".
Good luck in future!
Aaron.

it was a blast the seminar with u and Brock was awesome. u gonna be in the dells on the 29th??
Jens Pulver...who would have thought that a kid from central Washington..(Apple Country) would be the best spokesman for MMA and how it should be done. You will never find anyone, anywhere that will work as hard, both in the sport and community. Truly respectful in every way, and would give you the shirt off his back to a friend. I come from Goldendale, Wa. And know about Jens well, I hope that someday all athletes can take a look at what Jens has done outside of the sport and follow in his tracks. Jens you are a true champion. Don't ever change that, we as your fans will always be your fans...Keep your head up and keep on keepin on...
Yo i Met Jens Randomly on a back road in Port Washington NY this past saturday night. I was so shocked as he just walked up to me out of the dark on a quiet road. He was so cool and down to earth. Let me take a couple pics and follow him and his buddy almost back to their car. I'm kinda pissed now that I was wasted and didn't get a chance to really show him my support. If you do get these Jens, now that i'm not "star - struck", I really hope to see you fight again. You have been such a quintessential part of MMA. I respect the hell out of you and thanks for being such an inspiration. Jens "lil Evil" Pulver, hope to see you on the screen one day soon. I'll be listening.

My wife Amy and I just returned from an unbelievable UFC experience, first rubbing shoulders with fighters at the expo, to 1 on 1 personal chats with Dana White in a VIP lounge, grappling with Wanderlei Silva and front row seats to Chuck Lidells Hall of Fame induction to partying with Clay Guida every night.
However, throughout the whole weeks experiences, our hearts remain fixed on the one guy who truly went out of his way to make us feel like his friends. From the first time we saw Jens Pulver, he was hard at work signing autographs and taking photographs at the WEC booth for a line of fans that snaked around the entire exhibition center to meet him. While this is the norm for such an event with hundreds of fighters "being there" for the fans most simply did their jobs with forced smiles, uncomfortable poses with fans and that tired look on their faces. You could almost hear and see Dana White and other members of Management standing over them saying "Do this for the fans".
But there was one out of all of them who had more energy than any of them, jumping from the behind the counter to playfight with the fans, making funny faces and hugging people with pure love, appreciation and sincerity. Jens never let up. When we got to meet him, this led to what ended up being our favortie photo of the convention, Jens squaring up to my pretty little wife as they screwed up their faces at each other are thrust fists in front of each other's faces. I never laughed so much nor felt so much appreciation that a man who had already spent hours meeting hundreds of fans already, would still put all his effort into making my wife and I feel special. He actually looked at us, wanted to know us, why we were here. When we told him it was our first anniversary, he shared his own recent wedding memories with us like an excited kid sharing his candy. Then he did his best to give us a memory we would cherish. A few hours later I remember walking past the WEC booth again and pointing Jens out to my wife, I made the remark "God Bless him! Even after all this time, look at him, joking with the fans, talking with them, he gives his all to each and every one of them and its all sincere to the heart! He wants to know all of us and make us feel good!"
The next time we saw Jens was outside in front of the Mandalay Bay. He just walked up to us with he lovely beautiful wife. Excited I said Hi and expected him to acknowledge us with a smile before moving on, after all he wasn't working right now and he was with his family trying to enjoy what little private life a man of his status can have. But he stayed to chat with us, like some regular dude happy to hang. I wasn't going to ask for another autograph, I didn't want to disrespect his personal time, but after giving him enough opportunity to leave us, I broke down and asked if he could sign the T-shirt I was wearing. Without even blinking he was happy to. Even when I asked for another photo, and my wife pointed out that many fighters don't want their families to be in the public eye, Jens dismissed this saying "Its okay. She's gotta get used to this some time!" and insisted all four of us have a group photo together. It was beautiful. He was so gracious, such a gentleman. Another favorite photo of the hundreds wee took.
The next day, we found ourselves walking past the WEC booth again, this time Jens, whilst signing and talking, looked up and saw us. I did not expect him, after several days I'm sure of shaking hands and saying Hi and taking photos with a million fans, that he would recognise us, but he stopped what he was doing, stood up as tall as he could get to catch our attention and waved both hands in the air just to say Hi from across the crowds of people around him. How friggin special did we feel!!!! Amazing
Saturday night July 11th, we had ringside seats to the Lesnar Mir fight. We were seated close to the entrance tunnel where the fighters come out. As the ring and fighters were getting ready, Jens stepped into the tunnel to wave to the crowds all of whom went nuts to shake his hand. I nudged Amy my wife and pointed to Jens, "There's our buddy Jens! I bet you if he sees us he'll remember us!" Amy nodded and excitedly shouted his name as he turned around 20 feet away dressed sharp in a waistcoat and blur shirt and tie. Amy giggled "He looks awesome! His wife must have dressed him!". The people next to us looked at us as we spoke as though we were in la la land about Jens knowing us, but sure enough, when he saw us, he ran straight to us and hugged both of us before standing there, amongst all the crowds in the tunnel talking to us. Amy asking where his lovely wife was and he pointing to where they were sitting like we were college buddies that just bumped into one another. All I remember was the people around us looking dumbfounded and asking us "How do you know Jens?" and us feeling like kids on Christmas.
Jens - if you read this (and I hope you do) we deliberately looked for your website in order to tell you how much we love you more than all our other fighters. People can think they are WEC and UFC fans because they've been with the sport for 15 years or because they know the stats, but the truth is this, you are our favorite because we know you, how kind, gracious and humble you are, your heart is HUGE in the ring and we all know that, but your heart is just as big outside of the ring too and that makes you PERFECT! We hope you do not retire, because we will be ringside at any fight you have because of whatt you did for us as a human being. we're not rooting for just an amazing fighter anymore, we're rooting for our friend! If there's a way we can keep in touch or send you photos we took with you, let us know. Above all, depsite all the other wonderful experiences we had at the expo and the big fight, it was you that we carry in our hearts.
Thank you!
Ravin and Amy

You two looked great together in the wedding video I saw online. WAR Jens and Nikka!
Hey, I'm just checking in on your site to see how and where you are in your life these days, I read about you and all the comments from your fans, it makes me almost cry (happy tears) to see all the positive things and great comments about how your fans see you, win or lose, you show them, everyone Jens, how to be a class act, and what respect is. I am still so proud that you have made it as far as you have, and again so proud to be sitting here reading comments from friends and fans, and it makes me feel so great to tell people about you, and where you came from, and where you are now, it just amazes me, and a few others too who knew you back then, you had a goal in life, to some a BIG goal, and you by far have accomplished everything you set out to do... I'm back in the Seattle area again, maybe some day we can meet up and you can sign my Lake Wilderness Country Club Drive sign I got from you all those years ago!!!???? Hope all your brothers and sister and Mom and the rest of your family are just as happy and sucessful in life as you are.. I still think of all of you often and remember a lot of fun times with you all. I know you are busy, try to email me back and tell me how you all are!! Good luck to you in whatever is next for you! I miss you all, and tell your Mom and All hello for me please.. Can't wait to see pics of your kids sometime!! Again Jens, I am so damn proud of you!!!
Love always, and forever a big fan,
Teri Nelson

Jens walked into a choke at his last fight.....He got beat but he looked in great shape, proving that anything can happen at any time in this sport. Jens to retire----he better not, he's got at least three solid years left....as anyone who has read his book knows that Jens does not throw the towell in on challenges and adversity---in other words, Jens Pulver go kick some ass---this fan will be with you for life.
i met jens pulver today at the horseshoe southern indiana casino revolution fight league fights , and i will have to say that jens is the coolest fighter i have ever met. he walked around all night and talked to anyone who stopped him, he also posed for a photo with anyone who asked. such class. that is what this sport is about.
Jens,
Real impressed with the fights of yours that I have seen, win or lose. More impressed though with you the person. I am sorry to hear of the treatment you endured as a little guy, but glad to hear you have met this head on and dealt with it the best you can. Hope you continue to be involved in MMA after you are done fighting, I would like it more if all fighters had your respect level for their competitors.
Mike
i've always respected jens as a fighter but was never a "fan" per se. i must say though that after watching his defeat on June 7th and the class/respect he displayed impressed me.
a buddy of mine that was watching with me kept pointing to the fact that jens has always been respectful of his opponents (maybe less for the ones that disrespected him but that's only fair).
i guess it's my bad for not realizing this in the past, but now all i gotta say is that i respect him even more.
jens pulver is one "tough" dude. "tough" people show respect - cowards take the easy way out.
Hey Jens,
I know you're in kind of a rough spot in your career right now, and I just wanted to let you know that you're one of my heroes. The heart you show in the cage is so inspiring to me. You've had a lot of great fights and great wins, but my favorite has to be your first fight with Urijah Faber, even though it didn't go your way. There was one point where Urijah caught you with a shot and you went down. You were hanging on to a single and he just started dropping these vicious hammer fists on your head, just punch after punch after punch. It looked so bad that the announcers started saying the fight was over and the ref looked like he was about to step in. But then out of nowhere, you stood up with this grin on your face as if nothing had happened and started throwing right back in Urijah's face. That was absolutely incredible, just so much heart and so much willpower. It's also so beautiful to see that you take some much joy in what you do, even when it's not going perfectly. When I come up against a challenge in my everyday life, a lot of times I think to myself, "Is this as bad as Faber hammer fists? Probably not." So anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you. Thank you for showing the me how strong the human spirit can be. If you do decide to retire, you should do so with the utmost pride.
I'm a bass player and a composer, and in the past few years I've gotten into MMA. A lot of what I learn in fighting finds its way into my music. You can hear my band on myspace.com/downbeatkeys (it's hip hop). I'm not trying to use your page as advertising or anything, I just want to show you something you've helped me to create. Musically, I take my inspiration from all different sources. If you listen close, you should hear some Lil Evil floating around in those songs.
It's been a pleasure watching you fight.
Much love,
Andrew Root
I saw your fight on TV and wanted to say that what I've seen in you as an athlete and a person transcend every notion of brilliant. Man, I felt for you last night cuz I know you're not just fighting because you're a badass, you're fighting as a fucking great fighter and a family man and a master. I couldn't care less about the quick loss because what you unloaded after the fight was REAL. The WEC has been great about showcasing amazing fighters and authentic good people and so f*&k the rest. It's a pleasure to watch and learn from guys like you, and I'm not even a fighter, so you can interpret that however you want. I've been a futballer all my life and I have seen amazing talents crash on the rocks of terrible egos and big-headed ideas. Props to you bro for being honorable and knowing it. The level of authenticity you bring is up there with GSP, Torres, Faber, Brown, and Emelianenko. Nobody else comes close to being better badasses or better ambassadors than you guys. Thanks for all of it...the world's gotta be totally inspired by you.

Jens.
Im a big fan Win Lose or Draw, your just a icon in my eyes. When you win you motivate people, when you lose you motivate people. All around good guy. I live in Bettendorf, IA and saw you at Hy-Vee one day and was to much of a pussy to shake your hand but wish i would of. I hope that wasnt your last fight, but if it was good luck in whatever comes next.

Jens,
Dont you dare retire. Your time is far from over. Your iconic! You got cought, big deal. Thats part of the sport and you know that. WEC may have grown a bit but they still need names like yours to survive. Your time is not up. I hope you fight again sonner than later.
Flan Nasty
Jens, I am a huge fan. Good luck with the fight against Grispi. I am confident you will come out on top.
Evans
With all you have ben through, you are an inspiration to all who face adversity. It appears that now things are finally going good for you, SO GET OUT THERE AND KICK BUTT DUDE!!! Time for you to do it for you and yours. You will always be my favorite 'little MAN'. Watching you often having to fight guys bigger than you (and winning)was awsome. Faber, Brown and Garcia are great fighters, but none (in my mind) have accomplished what you have in this sport. Your sportmanship, heart, and love for the sport is an inspiration, (and probably resulted in the WEC finally recoginazing the excitement, and validity of the lighter weight classes). ROCK ON 'LIL EVIL' you will always be my favorite small man in a previously big mans sport!!!
When I read the article on WEC about how you (JENS) felt when asked if you were still revelant, my heart sank when I read your response. Jens I remember when you didn't have a 'weight class' and had to fight guys bigger and "stronger" than you and watched you kick butt.
DUDE, you are still my favorite fighter, and I tell you there is nothing about your game to question. You were the original champion of your weight class fighting guys 10-15 20 lbs bigger cause they didn't take you smaller guys serious. YOU ARE STILL RELEVANT!!! FIGHT ON
Jens If your going to quit ,do it when your on top again,in the meantime , take some communication courses because you were great as a commentator on the WEC program.Your a great fighter too,to great to let a couple defeats get to you ,your still a young man ,take it from an old one.Good Luck with your future ,you are a living LEGEND!
Jens, I have not been into mma very long, which I regret because I love it now. But ever since I first started watching it you have been my favorite fighter. I love the fact that you are a small guy and you can still throw out a beating like anybody else. From what I know you have done a lot for the sport. I would just like to say thank you so much for really getting me interested in the sport. You are a great competitor and I know you have been through some hard times but just keep your head up. Hope to see you back at the top of your game soon!
I am a 30yr old mixed martial artist from tampa fl but now live in portland ME who hasnt been able to train for 2 years now due to an accident where i broke my back and shattered both of my feet. Ive trained in bjj, shinto yoshin ryu jiu jitsu and some kickboxing. Do you have any ideas of how i can get over this "bump" and get back to training? Any help from you would be a godsend as you are one of my favorite fighters(even though u knocked out john lewis another favorite of mine lol) and one of the best of all time.thank you Thomas Rutledge. email @ tomandrene0610@Yahoo.com
Jens why don't you update your website ? As a fan I really want to know what is happening with you , your future and your training.
Thanks and good luck in your next fight.
JENS,
I have been a fan of the sport since the beginning of the sport. I have watched many of your fights and you are one of my favorites.. I really wanted to see you beat up on faber and was disappointed. Dude, you have all of the skills, plenty of power but it seems you lack some intensity.. Man, get your killer instict back and you will start knocking guys the fuck out again.. Hope to see you whooping some ass in the future ... I'll be watching... good luck...
Jens doesn't know me, but I found out from my grandfather that we are related. 5th or 6th cousin's, and if he is anything like the Pulver's in Ohio, any fighter that has the privilege to fight Jens better look out. The Pulver attitude and strong will to overcome and win is no joke. Beware!
Whats up Jens,
I have been a fan of yours for years and completley believe that you are not done! I let out a loud F*** Yea when I saw you were going to be fighting on the Brown Faber card.
Train hard and get you some dude! You have friends in Texas!
Philip Wendt, Houston Texas
Jens,
Congrats on your baby. I met you in passing, at a hospital in Illinois. I was one of the firefighters that went into the room to verify, who you were. Just wanted to say I'm a huge fan, and glad to hear all is well with your family. Good luck!
Sincerely,

Hey man! it's mike stegall, just seeing how you are doing on your fights! my wife and i have a myspace account, but it is under her name, which is stephanie. anyhow, i haven't seen you in person, since what, JR HIGH or HIGH SCHOOL right? well we found you and would like to add you to our friends list on myspace! otherwise, write! stegalls575@yahoo.com keep up the good work fighting!
mike stegall
Jens,
I met you for the first time in 2001 in Decatur, IL back when Jason Reinhardt was still recovering from his injury. You were the UFC Lightweight Champion, and you were preparing to fight BJ Penn to defend your title. You autographed a tee shirt for me, and I remember thinking that you were so little, but I knew you were the toughest guy in the room. LOL. I've always been a fan of yours, and after I read your book, I gained so much respect for you. I will be your fan forever, and I look forward to seeing your next fight. I'll always be cheering for you.
Marty
Jens-
Not only are you a naturally gifted athlete, you're also a naturally gifted gabber! You did a great job as a guest commentator at the last WEC event. Your natural charismatic charm combined with your knowledge of MMA made you a star OUTSIDE the octagon. Move over Frank Mir, Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg; Lil Evil may be on his way.
A fan in NJ
Hey Jens,
Ive never been a huge fan of your sport until your buddy Tierre S. from Seattle started cutting my hair and couldnt stop talking about you! Ive watched you fight a few times and I think you are a man of class!
Keep doing what you are doing and you will be richly rewarded!

After watching you fight in the UFC and on TUF, i am showing my gratitude in realizing your strengths as a coach, a fighter, and as a man .. I am an 18 yr old male, a bit arrogant and unwilling to admit or think of anyone as a hero or even much of an inspiration..when the question does come up my answer conisists only of Muhammad Ali, Dr King, and one Jens Pulver, you are a true role model. I am a huge UFC and WEC fan and Jens your impact to the world of MMA i hope you are inducted to the Hall of Fame (UFC). I dont know if it will happen and i dont know if you know, but you are a hall-of-famer in my books..I was talking with a friend the other day and wish i could give you a gift.. it would be to give you your physical attributes of yourself as a 25yr old.. im not trying to say anything negative, im rather saying that with your past few fights and ups and downs in the WEC we admire you and wish you more than your record has shown lately..for it is your heart that does not allow you to quit.. we know that it your heart rather than your left hand and techniques have made you succeed in the cage; in victory or defeat..to us fans, it is being able to see you fight that matters.. and the true meaning of heart displayed in high points of victory (i.e Bj Penn 1), hard fought wars (i.e Urijah Faber 1), or your heart warming(and breaking) speech after your loss to urijah faber in your rematch.. I hope you continue fighting until you truly feel like your life will be better staying outside the cage..but until than we will continue to watch with admiration... In my eyes (and many others) you should, and will, be remembered long after you decide to retire..right up and surpassing the likes of those like randy couture, chuck liddell, anderson silva, and GSP.. It is Fighters like you that make me dream of one day fighting in the UFC, if it ever happens ill let you know through the tv, haha..
Thanks for all you have done for not only the sport.. but for me and fans like myself..

you were great at the broadcasting of the wec!!!hope you get to do it a lot more. frank was good but you rocked. good luck on whatever you do.
Hey you really needed to be louder in the broadcast maybe next time, but great job it was awesome to hear your playback of the fighters thoughts it was like you were talking from in the ring similar to the ranks of Mr. Mier . If You need a custom theme song for a fight I would be honored to write one for you. Thanks again for your legendary presence in MMA...Loved the sweater by the way, great look for such a bad azz.

Really enjoyed your work on the WEC broadcast, Jens. Thanks for making a great night. My wife and I really enjoyed your insight, analysis and humor.
You did super, and your wife did solid on the sweater. It's good to have someone love you enough to make you want to look good.

Jens, great job last night on the commentating. Really loved the excitement and enthusiasm you brought. Way to rock the sweater vest too bro, that's hard to pull off, and yet, you managed. Hope to see you back announcing (and fighting) soon.
Jens I've always enjoyed watching you fight, you are a great fighter and I'll always think of you as a Champion.
You were great announcing Sunday night on WEC - hope to hear you on future broadcasts!
